So Today our EP - 'I was A Felled Destroyer' has been made available on iTunes!!! Yea!!! A whole week earlier than expected! Very happy with that!

Next week will be a busy one for us too, as we will be shooting a music video for the Ep's Single 'Love Has No Decay'. I can't wait! Might be a bit cold though, as a lot of the filming will be outside and it's freezing, here in England, right now!!! 

It's been great fun making this EP, and I couldn't be any happier with the results!

Art's good fun! I used to love Art lessons in school! Simply because, at the end of the lesson you would be able to take home what you had created with your own hands and show your mum and dad! Then no matter how bad your art was, they would tell you how great it was! Never a better feeling then showing your parents that you were capable of creating something! That's what's great about Music and art, for me anyway. No matter the quality of what you are doing, you are bringing something into existence. When people look upon or listen to something you have created their minds are stimulated in a positive or negative way! That doesn't sound at all pretentious does it?! It's true though, so I apologize not!

Here's some of my "art". Hopefully it is a positive stimulus for you!

Hey everyone! How's it going?

My old friend whom i haven't spoken to in a long time, randomly decided to post on my wall - a link to an internship application... this wouldn't normally be very interesting for me, but the day before, i was thinking of asking my college for some work in the music department and the internship she sent me the link to happened to be for a position at 'the royal academy of music - london'!!! I wouldn't usually be as bold to think i had a chance of getting the position, but i think everything happens for a reason, and it's funny my friend - not communicated with in a long time - should point me in this direction!!
I've applied anyway! so fingers crossed! It's unpaid and I'm in debt, but 'the royal academy' !!! wouldn't that be amazing?! especially because i want to study violin there someday!


In other news, things with my band have been going really well! We now have regular gigs in london and had representatives from sony come to our gigs, along with various management companies! how cool ey?! Let's hope something good comes from it!

we've almost finished recording our new EP too! we've been going to a proper recording studio and it's been such good fun! I can't wait to hear the finished results! It should be mixed by next week, so i'll post some snippets up here!

There's a lot i would like to talk about this week, other than updates, but I'm not quite confident enough to post the entirety of my mind! this blogging thing is for my fun, but still, it seems a bit too self indulgent!

Hows it going?!

It's been a great couple of months! I started up a new band called 'Francis & boyd'! it started off as a two piece with just jack and myself, and we recorded our ep - which is now up on itunes!!

as i was saying... we started off as a two piece, but have now got the full band together, which is great! we have already played a bunch of really cool festivals such as: Brighton beer festival, dromos festival, and rox festival! There is more to come as well, which is awesome! 

anyway, the main point of this post is to show a video i recorded just a few days ago! it's a piece of music by shiro sagisu called 'going home'. I learnt it to play to my nan for her 80th birthday and liked it so much, i thought i would film it!

Hazaah and hello! This will be my first blog, and I must say it's a bit strange. It's a bit like writing a diary and leaving it on the table for everyone to read... 


The Last week has been great! The sun has started to show it's pretty face again and my mood is great! In the week I made this video of a Piece of music I wrote not long ago. Its Music for the morning! Nice bright, Summer mornings! Can you tell I like summer? Anyway, I think it has a good vibe to it and that's what music is about for me! 

On another musical note, my band "The Lowland Runners" have just finished recording our debut EP, so I am very excited! All That's left to do is finalize the Mix and get it duplicated! I'll be sure to post more about it when it's released!
